JPL Health and Safety Solutions

Your Own Retained Competent Person.

Regulation 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (Health and Safety Assistance) requires the employer to have access to competent assistance to fulfil their health and safety responsibilities.

Whether you are a very small (1 – 5), small, medium or large company you must have this access to competent advice.

Very SMALL company – BIG Health and Safety Responsibilities

If you are a very small company, and you are tendering for a Local Government contract or a contract with a major contractor, you will be asked to provide proof that you have a health and safety system (this usually means a written policy and supporting documentation) and a corner stone of your system is access to competent assistance.
